Mentioned:
One of the most exciting rare earth projects in the entire world has just released historical drilling results.
What’s happening:
- Critical Metals (NASDAQ: CRML) has announced historical drilling results from their flagship rare earth property the Tanbreez Project located in Greenland
By the numbers:
- The historical drilling results from the Tanbreez Project covers 400 drill holes and 366,000 samples
- Drill hole DX-01 was successfully drilled vertically 338 metres from surface and intersected high grade rare earth elements, including 24.45% of heavy rare earth elements
- Drill hole D7-14 was successfully drilled to a depth of 243 metres from surface and also intersected high grade rare earth elements, including 28% of heavy rare earth elements
Why it matters:
- The Tanbreez Project is one of the single largest deposits of rare earth elements in the entire world
Going deeper:
- Critical Metals’ historical drilling results intersecting large amounts of heavy rare earth elements is especially important given how essential heavy rare earth elements are for many different technological applications, including electric vehicles, solid-state hard drives and even medical imaging
- The Tanbreez Project was previously owned by a private Australian company who never previously publicly disclosed or published any of their initial drilling results
The intrigue:
- Renowned geoglist Greg Barnes previously put $45M USD into validating the Tanbreez Project prior to Critical Metals acquiring the asset
