- Interactive Brokers (NASDAQ: IKBR) has officially launched prediction market contracts in partnership with Kalshi
Why it matters:
- This is the first time ever that Interactive Brokers has enabled users to be able to buy and sell prediction market contracts directly within one unified platform on their brokerage

- Interactive Brokers' new prediction market platform leverages contracts that are available on Kalshi as well as the CME and ForecastEx
- Interactive Brokers has publicly stated that their prediction market platform is only available to users in jurisdictions where prediction market contracts are currently legal and permitted for trading

- Kalshi previously made major waves when they struck a deal with both CNBC and CNN to integrate their prediction market data into live television
