- The Israeli government will pay approximately $135M USD for Nebius Group to develop the new supercomputer
- It is anticipated that the supercomputer will use 4,000 Blackwell GPUs from Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) and will have computing power of 16,000 petaflops once complete
Why it matters:
- This is the most amount of capital that the government of Israeli has ever committed to developing a new supercomputer, which is a part of a larger federal effort to build out leading edge infrastructure for artificial intelligence and machine learning
