- The Novo Nordisk Foundation and the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark are jointly investing €80M to start a new quantum computing company known as QuNorth in Denmark
Why it matters:
- QuNorth is aiming to build and operate one of the world’s most powerful quantum computers known as Magne, which is built by American quantum computing hardware company Atom Computing

- Magne will be integrated with Microsoft’s (NASDAQ: MSFT) Azure Quantum platform and leverage cloud computing to make it broadly accessible to researchers, scientists and companies
- Magne is one of the first commercially available quantum computers in the world which uses logical qubits, which are much less error prone than than physical qubits used in many existing commercial quantum computers
