- Red Cat (NASDAQ: RCAT) and Palladyne AI (NASDAQ: PDYN) have successfully completed a cross platform collaborative flight using three different types of Red Cat’s proprietary drones
Why it matters:
- This is the first time that Red Cat has successfully been able to leverage Palladyne AI’s software platform to fly three diverse types of drones simultaneously and fully autonomously

- Palladyne AI’s software platform known as Pilot AI is purpose built for drones and unmanned systems to enable the ability to identify and track ground targets as well as collaborate with other drones and rapidly share information being gathered through sensors
- Red Cat’s Teal 2 and Black Widow drones were able to use Pilot AI to use onboard edge computing to directly communicate with each other without relying on any centralized infrastructure of any kind
