A small modular reactor company in California is getting ready to make their Wall Street debut. And one of the founders of Palantir is one of their earliest investors.

  • Berkley, California based small modular reactor company Deep Fission has filed a Form S-1 with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission to list on the Nasdaq through an IPO

By the numbers:

  • Deep Fission will raise up to $156M USD in their IPO financing round and will issue 6M common shares between $24.00 USD and $26.00 USD per share

Why it matters:

  • Deep Fission has developed a proprietary small modular reactor known as the Gravity Reactor which has 15 megawatts of electric power capacity and is purpose built to operate one mile underground in boreholes

  • Deep Fission has publicly stated they have signed contracts for 15 gigawatts of total deployments for their Gravity Reactor with data centres and strategic infrastructure partners including Endeavour Energy who operators energy efficient data centres throughout the United States and Europe
