The American government wants to bring more transparency to economic data. Which is exactly why they’re partnering up with Chainlink to put it on the blockchain.

- The United States Department of Commerce and Chainlink have formed a new partnership to begin publishing economic data onto the blockchain
Why it matters:
- This is the first time ever that the United States government will begin sharing data on the blockchain

- Chainlink and The United States Department of Commerce will initially begin publishing gross domestic product, inflation numbers and consumer price changes onto the blockchain
- Developers and apps built on Ethereum, Solana and other blockchains will be able to directly access this new data through the Chainlink Oracle Network
