  • The round was led by Crosslink Capital and included other notable venture funds such as MVP Ventures, Capital Factory and Stellar Ventures

The big idea:

  • Darkhive builds autonomous drones for public safety and military purposes
  • Their flagship product known as Yellowjacket is capable of indoor threat detection, surveillance and performing short distance reconnaissance missions

The intrigue:

  • The Air Force Research Lab has given an award to Darkhive for their innovative software that accompanies their drones

By the numbers:

  • Darkhive currently has 8 contracts with the United States Department of Defense
  • Those contracts with the Department Of Defense are worth a cumulative $14M USD and are intended to further the development of their autonomous drones
