- CME Group has officially launched trading of XRP futures on their derivatives platform
Why it matters:
- This is the first time ever that XRP futures have traded on a regulated exchange in the United States of America

- Ripple has been aggressively making moves to expand their infrastructure around traditional public markets, including their notable $1.25B USD purchase of prime brokerage company Hidden Road
- CME Group is the single largest futures exchange in the world and has been embracing digital asset derivatives lately, including previously rolling out trading for Solana futures

- Ripple has also recently made their first foray into the opportunity in stablecoins which has been fuelled by the successful launch their own stablecoin for global payments known as RLUSD
