Medirom Healthcare Technologies operates over 300 wellness studios in Japan under brands including Re.Ra.Ku, Spa Re.Ra.Ku, Re.Ra.Ku PRO, Bell Epoc, and Ruam Ruam. The company is expanding its digital health presence by doubling the deployment of World ID’s “Orb” authentication devices, co-developed by Sam Altman and Alex Blania, across 200 of its Re.Ra.Ku studios. This marks the largest installation of the devices in Japan, integrating biometric authentication into consumer wellness environments. Medirom also develops health applications such as Lav® and the MOTHER Bracelet®, a smart wearable for lifestyle tracking, positioning its network at the intersection of physical wellness and digital health.
